Advocacy Toolkit for SLPs & SLPAs
You know the people. You know the problems. Help us make the connections.
You are the expert on what speech-language pathology looks like in real life.
This toolkit gives you ready-to-use language, talking points, and templates to help you share the SPEAK Project with organizational leaders, policymakers, government officials, and other decision-makers.
You don't have to be an advocacy expert to make an impact.
Sometimes the most valuable thing you can do is open a door.
Do You Have a Connection?
Tell Us.
If you have a personal or professional connection to someone who may be able to help move this work forward, we want to hear from you.
That could include a:
-
Member of Congress or congressional staff member
-
State legislator or legislative staff member
-
Governor's office or state agency leader
-
Medicaid or healthcare policy official
-
CMS or federal healthcare contact
-
Lobbyist, policy consultant, or government relations professional
-
Healthcare executive or payer leader
-
State or national professional association leader
-
Other influential decision-maker or organization
Every connection matters.
You may know someone we don't. One introduction can put credible SLP data in front of the right person at the right time.
Don't assume we already know them. Send us the connection.

CMS Public Comment Toolkit
Don’t just comment. Comment with data.
Once the SPEAK Project cost data has been collected and professionally analyzed, we’ll provide resources to help you understand the findings and use them to support your individual comment to CMS.
Our healthcare policy experts will also provide guidance to help our community make comments that are strategic, evidence-based, and responsive to the issues before CMS.
The goal isn’t simply more comments. It’s stronger comments backed by evidence.
